ATTENTION - Temporary Facility Closure:

The Portage County Solid Waste Transfer Facility will be closed for maintenance on Friday September 2nd and Saturday September 3rd. We will resume normal hours on Tuesday September 6th. We will accept recycling only on Friday September 2nd, but we will not accept any garbage, appliances, electronics, tires, or other items. All facilities will be closed Saturday September 3rd.

Hazardous Waste Program
Waste is accepted by appointment only. Call (715) 346-1931 to make an appointment or to learn more about the program. The program runs from March through November.

  The Portage County Solid Waste Department now has a flag depository box in our lobby. Flags may be deposited during our normal business hours at the Material Recovery Facility, 600 Moore Road, Plover. Flags should be folded in the customary manner and deposited in the box. Flags will be properly retired by the VFW.
