Rosholt Millpond

Rosholt MillpondRosholt Millpond is an impoundment on Flume Creek in the Village of Rosholt. At one time the water going through the dam generated power for the grist mill and later for the sawmill, which has been torn down. Rosholt Millpond is a 17.6 acre impoundment with a maximum depth of 7 feet and an estimated volume of 61 acre-feet. It contains largemouth bass and panfish. The pond is north of the village with the school on its south bank and a Village Park on the north bank. The area incorporated into the park is especially altered, and kept mowed to the water’s edge. The west end of the pond and some of the Flume Creek corridor make up the Rosholt school wetland and upland forest natural area.
